It's a crazy world currently.

I  think we can add a few more to the list, vaccination vs anti-vaccine. Trump vs Biden, lockdown vs freedom of movement, Fact vs Truth, Assumptions vs Perceptions, Peace vs Violence etc. To name but a few, the list is potentially non- exhaustive. In fact not to much is obvious any longer, to many nuances to determine that, as opposed to former times.

I can off the top of my mind think of two possible cuplrates of shaking the jar. One namely is the Mass Media, social media inculded.  There appears to be some sort of agenda being driven (without attempting to move into conspiracy theories) and I believe that this is a supernatural spiritual force at work.

The bible teaches us that we wrestle not against flesh, these forces are real and I believe driving fear, hatred, mistrust to precisely bring division.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.  And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Ephesians 6:12‭-‬18 NIV

Now more than ever is circumspection required; to navigate through this turbulent time. As believers in Christ we should ensure that we continue to fix our eyes on Christ and the Kingdom of God, and not fall into the traps of anxiety designed for us in times such as now.

We are going to need very healthy doses of Truth and Grace. And to develope the Fruit of the Spirit, and walk without fear, and in soundness of mind.

Now is not the time to make hasty judgements or criticism, even if it feels justified.  It's rather a time of discretion and deep intercession for the Kingdom to be established in ourselves first; and the communities in which we live, (the areas of our influence).

Followed up with intercession for the world at large. Pray for wisdom hope, faith and love to prevail. Sound decisions by leaders, sanity, peace, justice, confidence and normal processes of sound government to return.

It's also time for us to demonstrate our trust in the goodness, faithfulness; and control of the Supreme Authority of our God and Father. We do this by NOT allowing the crazy stuff in infiltrate our thinking, behaviors and responses. Rather we stay calm, peaceable, and confident in our God, his goodness, faithfulness and control over all things. He is supreme after all.

It's a time of keeping our tongues, emotions and responses in firm control of the Holy Spirit and self dicipline of our own. It's time to stay focused on our relationship with the Father and Jesus, spending valuable time in the Word of God, in order for HIM to reveal to us the purposes and intents in this time. So that we don't fall for every wind of doctrine, and wierd theory that have arisen already (more will certainly follow). We need to dig deep wells for ourselves, for God to sustain us, the Holy Spirit is our teacher.

Limit yourselves to sound and trusted teaching, generally found in the leadership of your local church, avoid over exposing yourselves to stuff found on Internet and online content, much harm can and has been done already, and causes more confusion than good.

Be kind, gentle, practice Grace, hold onto the Truth (which is only found in Jesus; His Word and Kingdom. Abounding in Love, seek the unity of the saints. Persue the intimacy of God through the active and intentional diciplines of the Kingdom; in community with other believers.  Be ready in season to share the hope you have in Jesus, and the testimony of living with and for HIM each day.

Much of what is happening should not really surprise us, it was predicted, yet our hope and confidence rest in Jesus; and eternity, his throne and authority that are firmly established. The Lion of the tribe of Judah and the Lamb of God are on the throne already, his rule and reign was; is; and yet to come.

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

2 Timothy 3:1‭-‬5 NIV

I am not saying that this is end times, but the description of human conditions and heart attitudes found in this scripture has a familiar ring to it, don't you think?

You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, persecutions, sufferings—what kinds of things happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions I endured. Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them. In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:10‭-‬17 NIV

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

2 Timothy 1:7 NIV

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Galatians 5:22‭-‬23 NIV

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.  Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

John 14:26‭-‬27 NIV

He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.

Revelation 21:6‭-‬7 NIV

“Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.   “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.  Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

Revelation 22:12‭-‬15 NIV
