Who is God/Jesus?

I have been speaking about identity and knowing God in some of my recent posts. I will still share my Life purpose statement but in it I state that my real identity in found in God and not what I do or don't do for that matter, so to help me understand who I am in him, I have listed some of the things that I see and understand via scripture who Jesus is; as revealed to me. I am sure although the list is long it's not exhaustive and falls short of describing God, however it is useful to remind myself when I may feel a bit lost.

The Alpha and Omega
The beginning and the end
The First and the Last
The name above ALL names
The living word become flesh
God with us Emanuel

The light of the world
Creator of heaven and earth
The exact representation of the fullness of the God head
The express image of the father
Fully God and Fully man
My high priest, who knows and understands my weakness, failings, suffering and yet was without sin

The only mediator between God and Man of a far better covenant
In him dwells all of Gods power and authority

The Lion and the Lamb
The Lamb who was slain, and worthy to open the seals
The Lion of the tribe of Judah
Obedient servant, Son of Man

Without Sin, fault or guile
Broken, stricken, abandoned, bruised, crushed, wounded for our iniquities
My healing is by his stripes and wounds
My salvation and redemption was bought by his precious blood, rivers of blood, mercy and grace poured out on the cross.

Beautiful savior, loving word, gentle, kind one, a bruised reed he will not crush and a smoking wick he will not snuff out.

Full of Grace and Mercy

My faith, my certain hope, and love, hope stored in eternal promises guaranteed in heaven, held in trust in his word and character in the Person of Jesus, God the Father and God the Holy Spirit the One God; is All he says he is

My living hope and inheritance in heaven, eternity
The Good News and Gospel of Christ Jesus

The bread of life, the vine and one whom adds fruit and without whom; I can do nothing

Saviour, Messiah
Chief Apostle, Prophet
Master, teacher
Friend, brother
Lord of Lords, King of King's
Great I am
Head of the church

Express wisdom of God
The way, the truth and the Life
The gate to heaven, and entrance to the Kingdom

Giver of gifts to the church (apostles, prophets, pastors, evangelists, teachers)
All things held together by and through him and the power of his word, will, authority, grace and mercy

The judge of man, his heart and intents thereof
Righteous, jealous, and angered by sin, always fair, just, good and never changing
My Lord, My King, My, master, My friend, My brother, My example 

If I see him I see Abba Father and daddy, and Holy Spirit
The great Shepherd and Lover of my soul and intimate, knows me deeply, as creator, wants me to invite him in to commune with him

My Great Reward, the one who gives me crowns of victory when I overcome, and if I press on and into him

The giver of gifts, talents and will ask for an account of what I was given as master
The one who loves and disciplines me
The Son Of God, beyond beauty and description, the Glory of God

The rider on a white horse, the conqueror of death, sin and Hades
Great King, who controls the whole universe, world, nothing happens without his knowledge and investment therein

One who tests, purifies and refines my character, to changes me to become the image of himself
My teacher and guide

The Supreme Authority in All Things

My healer, redeemer, restores all things and relationships with the father
Mediator between God and man
Merciful High Priest, who knows and understands our failings and weaknesses
Intercessor before God the Father

The Rose of Sharon, the Lily of the valley
Bright and morning star
My rock and my Fortress, solid ground, a firm foundation
My compass, guide, north star, true north
The author and finisher of  my faith
My vision, my hope, my glory, the lifter of my head

My purpose and reason for living

    Cuz, are these your words or a bit of copy/paste? I mean I know it's all scripture as far as I can tell (be it word for word, or paraphrased), but is this all you?

      Yup this is all me, obviously taken from scripture but recalled from memory and typed up as it comes to me.

Inherited Shame

When I look back on my life, it is often with a sense of shame. A quiet, persistent feeling that no matter when, where, or who—it was always me. I was the common denominator. I was the one to blame. Inspired by a song of the Pet Shop Boys it's a sin. On Being: Not Enough (And Learning Otherwise
