A Matter of Perspective.

A matter of perspective

What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death?
 7:24 NIV
We saw the Nephilim there.....We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.”
Numbers 13:33 NIV

Perspective is powerful! Our response to situations is often determined by our perspective. The 10 spies perceived themselves as incapable of defeating the tribes and automatically assumed and believed the lie that the other nations also saw them as grasshoppers. When in reality the nation's were melting in fear of Israel because of God.
Our circumstances don't always follow a logical progression, in ourselves we may not possess the abilities to fulfil a task, that God has given us, or in our own strength there is no way we can overcome a temptation that has a stronghold over us, but by his Spirit we can resist and experience victory. Sometimes it may feel that we have no idea what to do in a certain situation, but with his guidance and wisdom we can discern the right course of action. Let's get his perspective......
Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to Godʼs law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.
Romans 7:25 NIV
For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
1 Peter 1:18‭-‬19 NIV
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20 NIV
See we have to have his perspective, and not look through our own narrow and limited viewpoint, it may seem factual but is often far removed from the truth (Gods word)
I find if I allow myself to stray too long from the close intimacy of fellowship, reading, reading of the word and prayer, my perspective is quickly bent and skewed, then I am as the wretched man in Romans 7 doing the wrong and not doing the right.
But as soon as I recover and get back  into right standing and fellowship my perspective, and ability is regained. So it's actually more beneficial to stay close to the fire and burn with zeal daily, and NOT allow the enemy to distract you, because in Jesus you are never seen as a grasshopper, but a blood washed victorious saint.
